The following is a guide to the palate and characteristics of the standard wine kits varietals held by Top Trop!.

Chardonnay/Semillon:
Combination of these two exceptional varieties with an oak additive gives this wine a depth of complexity and character. Dry fruity bouquet with a hint of oak.

Sauvignon Blanc:
Crisp and flavourful, this popular grape varietal has distinctive and immediately recognisable aroma and flavour characteristics. The famous grassy, herbaceous bouquet and flinty aftertaste are here, with a generous acidity that is typical of the grape. Steely, grassy, and definitely dry, nothing can complement a meal better than Sauvignon Blanc.

Cabernet Sauvignon:
The noble California red grape. Rich in tannins, it produces a deep full-bodied wine with intense aroma and flavour. Robust - perfect with red meat or wild game. Best aged for several months.

Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot:
A popular blend which combines the plump fruity earlier aging Merlot grape with the robust Cabernet Sauvignon grape for a powerful match.

Port:
Rich, warm, and generous in character, this full-bodied classic has been prepared to meet the demands of even the most discerning palates. Bold, with a distinctively long fruity aftertaste. Perfect to compliment a meal.

Australian Riverland Reserve™:
A stunning blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Colombard, and Muscat varieties sourced from Australia's Riverland region of the Murray River. The hot climate produces a wine offering a rich combination of rich ripe fruits, complimentary acidity, and a full body, making this delicious wine a "must try".

Australian Shiraz:
This Shiraz from Down Under offers lush berry aromas that beg for a hearty whiff! A wine of ripe fullness, its concentrated blackberry fruits and fragrant spiciness are a delight on the tongue. It has the uncanny quality of allowing early consumption despite its complexity and "bigness". Robust and lively - a savoury treat!

Chamblaise™:
Refreshing and crisp, offering floral fruit in a dry style white wine. Versatile in pairing with a variety of foods.

Chardonnay:

Bursting with fruit flavours within a distinct oak character. Exceptionally smooth and pleasing on the palate. A popular favourite.

Liebfraumilch Style:
Delightfully fruity and thirst-quenching German style wine. Perfect with spicy foods.

Pinot Blanc:
Dry and crisp, with a delicate fruity finish that's perfect with light cheeses, seafoods, and delicate meats.

Riesling:
Dry, medium-bodied and modestly acidic, with a noticeable fruitiness in bouquet and flavour. Ideal with seafood.

Sauvignon Blanc:

Clean, fruity aroma and distinctive grassy bouquet. A crisp fresh wine with wonderful fruity character.

Barolo Style:
Big and robust, with the famous rich texture and hearty flavours that characterise this perennial crowd favourite.

Bergamais™:
Light, fruity, and delicious. Best enjoyed young and slightly chilled. Serve with light meals, poultry, or cheeses.

Blush:
Bright and lively. A wonderful thirst-quencher. Full of berry fruit flavours with a refreshing dry finish.

Cabernet Sauvignon:
Deep dark colours and a rich flavour, combining firm tannins with ripe red fruits enhanced by oak.

Merlot:
Rich red in colour. Soft, smooth, and full of berry fruit flavours. A popular choice.

Pinot Noir:
Vibrant blackberry and cherry fruits dominate within a silky smooth texture. The wine that made Burgundy famous!

Shiraz:
Deep, dark, and full of flavour. Boasts an unbeatable combination of spiciness, pepper, and intensity of red fruits.

Valpolicella Style:
Rich with fruit flavours and fragrances and finishes long and smooth.

Vieux Chateau Du Roi™:

A popular blend that offers up layers of intense flavours and aromas, with a hint of oak.
 

Australian Murray River Reserve™:
A full-flavoured intense white from the Murray River wine region on the Victorian-NSW border. Herbaceous bouquets and ripe tropical fruit flavours come through in this blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Colombard, and Muscat varieties. Crisp and dry, with refreshing acidity and and a light hint of oak - perfect for seafood or Asian cuisines.

Australian Cabernet Sauvignon:
Bold, full potential. Combines forward fruit flavours of cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant with a tremendous backing of tannin and structure. Rich and polished with a long, layered finish warmly accentuated with oak.

Australian Cabernet Shiraz:
The blend that made Australia famous. Cabernet Sauvignon's structural intensity perfectly compliments the ripe fruit and chocolate flavours of Shiraz, for a rich, complex, and hearty red wine of outstanding character. Big, bold and dark - a luxurious treat!

Bourgeron Blanc™:
A fantastic blend which compares in flavour profile to the great white wine of France's Burgundy region. Made from a select choice of California premium grapes this is a full-bodied wine with a robust flavour, accentuated by an aroma of fresh ripe peaches and apricots.

Chamblaise™:
Blended from quality Chenin Blanc and Colombard grapes this juice produces a crisp, semi-dry wine with a clean refreshing aftertaste. Will not require extended aging and can be enjoyed soon after bottling.

Chardonnay:
The perennial white wine favourite. A remarkably versatile wine, this classic now includes oak for a rounded-vanilla-oak structure that is smooth and appealing. Dry, with a pleasant acidity, Chardonnay's complexity is fully realised when aged.

Gewurztraminer:
A distinctive grape varietal with an unmistakable aromatic bouquet and appealing fruit intensity. Bursting with intense grapefruit flavours capped with a long full finish. Excellent with spicy foods or deserts.

Liebfraumilch Style:
Classic renowned German wine style. Amazingly true to style with an agreeably sweet finish. An exciting result is perfect with seafoods or desert.

Piesporter Style:
Characterised by a vivid fruitiness and lively balancing acidity and captures the style of the original high quality wine named after the Mosel wine region in Germany where this wine was originally produced.

Riesling:
The pride of German winemaking. This popular varietal produces a light, refreshing, and well balanced white wine which is smooth and easy to drink. A great match with seafood and chicken entrees.

Sauvignon Blanc:

The flavour is full and dry with a fruity, herbaceous character which finishes crisp and clean. A versatile wine which handles a wide range of herbs, spices, and flavourings.

Bergamais™:
A supple, fruity, and delicate "nouveau style" red wine. Typically consumed young and is at its best served slightly chilled. To be enjoyed on any occasion.

Blush:
A particularly light, refreshing and delicious blush wine. Finishes slightly drier than our White Zinfandel.

Bordailles Rouge™:
A rich Bordeaux-style wine with a strong, full flavour and a light aroma of blackcurrants. A balance of flavour and aroma from a blend of several California grapes and the ever popular Cabernet Sauvignon base.

Cabernet Sauvignon:
A classic wine which shows Brew King's commitment to quality. To be shared with friends over hearty dinners. Bold, deep character, best aged for maximum benefits.

Chianti Style:
A firm , dry red wine style of the famous Tuscany region of Italy. Characteristically tannic, this robust Italian wine bursts with flavours of berries, spices, and herbs. Superb with veal or spicy pasta.

Merlot:
Characteristic deep colour with black cherry and berry aromas. A powerful and lively blend marrying intense aromas with complex flavours bursting with cherry and raspberry. Delightful complexity within a 28-day category wine.

Pinot Noir:
This very popular grape with very fruity yet spicy characteristics. Has a velvety flavour and a full aroma resembling blackcurrants. Aging uncovers further complexity.

Shiraz:
Boasts an incredible concentrated of blackberry fruit, spice, and chocolate, all within a firm structure that keeps it together beautifully. A stunning, mouth-filling, dark, and delicious treat.

Vieux Chateau Du Roi™:
Full-bodied, yet soft and quick to mature. Contains oak to enhance its fine aromatic qualities. A terrific wine to serve with red meat dishes.

White Zinfandel:

A uniquely California treat and a pleasure to savour fully chilled. Literally bursting with sweet plum flavours with a refreshing finish.
