You may often hear the statement "The Scotch I bottled last night is not as good as a 12 year-old commercial Scotch".
One must realise the simple fact that, if commercial distilleries did not have to age their product for many years, they wouldn't!
Aging applies to home spirits just as much to the super-expensive commercial product. In fact aging will improve your product out of sight!
How long to age?
Quite simply - the longer the better.
Spirits just keep improving with age, so if you consider a year as a minimum you won't be disappointed!
